Need to buy a new Cattle Scale? Are you located in Tennessee? They have a grant program for getting a livestock scale on your farm or ranch.
The Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP) was established in 2005 to provide cost share dollars to agricultural producers for the purpose of making long-term investments in Tennessee farms and communities. Participation allows producers to maximize farm profits, adapt to changing market situations, improve operation safety, increase farm efficiency, and make a positive economic impact in their communities.
More than $246 million has been invested in 80,860 producer projects from 2005 through 2022. Each TAEP dollar generates $6.55 in local economies.

We have Speedrite / Stafix fence chargers. Very high performance charger. We have the one that comes with a remote control. You just place it on the wire and it tells you the voltage and the amps and what direction the juice is going. And the biggest benefit is you can turn the charger on and off remotely so you do not have to go all the way back to the charger to turn it on and off. We have saved countless hours fault-finding/repairing since we started using the Speedrite / Stafix chargers with the remote control/finder. Ours are X6is with 6 joules output and 8 joules stored. We usually have anywhere between 7000 and 8000 volts. Runs either on 120V or 12V. We rarely have a cow get out. Only time we have a problem is if antelope or deer run into it and knock it down. Even they learn pretty quickly.
The chargers are great but the remote control/finder is what really makes it.
I have a Speedrite 12000i and I love it. The power supply is an easily replaceable wall wart. I feel like this gives me a little better isolation against lightning damage. It keeps my perimeter fence in the 9-10,000 volt range which is perfect. The best part is that it has a compatible tester/remote control. When I find a fault in the fence I can use the tester to turn off the charger remotely, allowing me to quickly make repairs, then turn it back on remotely. This feature saves me so much time!

There are a lot of people out there selling electric fence testers. One product stands out above all others. It is the speedrite ST100 electric fence Fault finder. This high quality self-contained unit runs about $120 and it’s available at www.speedratechargers.com
The speedrite ST100 does several things. First it’ll tell you the voltage on your fence produced by your electric fence energizer. Second and most importantly, it’ll tell you about faults in your electric fence. It’ll have a directional arrow to point you to where the fault is located. You can then fix your fence to ensure that it produces the maximum voltage to keep your livestock contained.
The ST100 is self-contained and it does not require the use of a ground probe like other cheaper, electric fence fault finders do.
